Your Bedroom

Step into the Art Nouveau wing, built in 1900 by a pupil of Guimard, and feel the mood shift. Your bedroom is warm, unhurried, and unlike anywhere you've stayed before.

A private fireplace in exposed brick crackles on cooler evenings. Original parquet floors and timber beams speak of a century of stories. And your private covered loggia frames a view that will stop you in your tracks — the shimmering millstream, and beyond it, a listed medieval church. The kind of view you linger over with a morning coffee. Then linger over again.

The entire guest wing is yours, and yours alone. No other guests. No shared walls. No compromises.

You'll find yourself drifting naturally between the grand salon — with its soaring 5-metre ceiling, its monumental Art Nouveau fireplace and its extraordinary reinforced concrete vault, one of the earliest ever built in Europe — and the private terrace hanging above the millstream, where evenings have a habit of lasting longer than planned.

The fully equipped kitchen (oven, dishwasher, Nespresso) lets you set your own pace. The bathroom with bathtub invites you to take your time. And the 3-hectare private grounds — plane trees, birdsong, deckchairs by the water, a barbecue under the stars — are there whenever the inside feels too good to leave.

Your Hosts

We live on the opposite side of the château — a completely separate wing, no shared spaces, no crossings of paths unless you want them. We're close enough to help if anything comes up, and happy to share our favourite spots in the Puisaye if you'd like a tip or two. But mostly, we'll let you enjoy the place as if it were your own home.

Because for a few days, it is.
