Nestled in the heart of the Yonne, the village of Villiers-Saint-Benoît welcomes on Friday 28 August 2026 the very first edition of the Les Temps du Fort festival, a new cultural event rooted in local heritage and open to all audiences.

Evening programme

From 6pm, the gates of the château's park open for a convivial outdoor picnic. Enjoy the warmth of late summer, settle on the grass, savour your meal at the foot of centuries-old walls and rediscover the spirit of shared celebration that defines the finest summer evenings. Don't forget to bring your picnic!

At 8pm, the show begins with a performance of the musical theatre L'Hôtel du Pin Sylvestre, a musical comedy full of freshness, humour and talent, performed at nightfall in this exceptional heritage setting.

L'Hôtel du Pin Sylvestre — Musical theatre

Welcome to a hotel with a 1960s atmosphere: a painting has mysteriously disappeared, and a cast of colourful characters are on the hunt for the culprit! Written by Sarah Nardon and Marie Nardon, with music composed by Sarah Nardon and Alexandre Laugier, this fully sung show takes its audience on a joyful musical whodunnit, performed by a actor-pianist playing live.

Quirky humour, self-deprecating wit, sharp writing and musical quality: L'Hôtel du Pin Sylvestre proves that all you need is a good idea, a piano and talented artists to create an unforgettable theatrical moment.

The show boasts an impressive track record: performed at the Avignon Off festival, the national showcase for independent performing arts, before going on to success on Parisian stages. Critics have enthusiastically praised its freshness, musical quality and the talent of its performers.
